In St Just I learnt the hard way that a cerebral approach was not the path that my Work was asking me to go . Increasingly when I followed the less obvious path of the Intuition, it led closer to the Essence and further from what could be defined by words. This is what led me to make a seeking journey back to Ireland in the winter of 2014 . It was a window of just 14 free days which I seized .

Achill Island looked like an interesting shape on the map and on the margins of the world we identify culturally with, a recurring theme in places I am drawn to. I arrived in the dark one February night. The following morning, stepping out of the B&B, I was struck to the core, faced with the grandeur and the majestic Mountains that seemed to embrace my Gaze . This impact still resounds in me today and has turned into a ‘Song’ . There are a handful of sites on this coast where I return to work over these last five years .
