After the experiences in St Just I was able to carry this way of Seeing with paint to other places . The ancient sites of Wessex , the Isle of Mull in The Hebrides and the Knoydart wilderness of Scotland and then to the Mayo Coast , all the time being guided by my Intuition and listening to the Places I was in .This ‘listening’ technique I had been shown in the Life classes at Art School led by Dennis Creffield , where he showed us how to paint the uniqueness of the Model not just the surface appearance and then transpose this experience to the act of drawing a Tree .
